Wore this kayaking and the water-resistant shell actually shed splashes instead of soaking through like my old cotton cap. The buoyant visor core is a nice touch too, it floats if it ever goes overboard.

Fishing in a sudden drizzle would've soaked my old cap in minutes, but this one's water-resistant shell just beaded everything right off. The buoyant visor core is a clever touch too—makes it float if it goes overboard, which is a lifesaver when you're leaning over the rail.

Took this out on a kayak trip and the buoyant visor is the real deal—it floated right back up when it splashed off. The interior lining kept my forehead dry even after a few hours of paddling, which was a pleasant surprise for a rope hat.
